Jaimie-May, an Aussy beauty and Terry, a handsome Greek came to Santorini to celebrate their I do’s with their family and friends and we were thrilled to celebrate with them. Their dream was an elegant yet luxurious wedding that blended the Christian Orthodox tradition with the romantic background of the Aegean sunset and the relaxed party atmosphere of a beach bar reception.
Jules Bower captured this blend beautifully with these amazing images and we couldn’t be happier that Junebug – one of the best wedding blogs internationally – took notice!

Having been to Theros Wave Bar for a friend’s wedding, Jaimie-May and Terry knew they wanted to hold their own celebration at the elegant island venue. Jaimie-May wore a sophisticated strapless Vera Wang gown, which perfectly complemented the stark white buildings around Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral. Italian Wedding Photographer Jules Bower captured Jaimie-May and Terry’s utter bliss on their wedding day, from their first look to a few solo moments as husband and wife in the Santorini sunset.
Our wedding fashion was classic and chic. I fell in love with a custom Vera Wang lace gown.
It was important in the heat that it was light weight and we are looking forward to using the lace from my dress to create a family heirloom Christening gown. The bridesmaids wore beautiful Grecian-esque pearl-coloured Zimmerman gowns.
Based on the location It would have been easy for us to opt for the bohemian wedding, however it was important to us both to include Terry’s greek heritage and include the greek orthodox ceremony. There used to be more churches than houses on Santorini, it was important for us to honour this. Jaimie ended up getting christened in Sydney leading up to the wedding.
We chose Santorini in memory of our first holiday together visiting Terry’s family who own Hotels on the Island. We were invited to a wedding of a family friend, where we fell in love with the beach club – Theros Wave Bar. Even for any of guests who had previously visited Santorini it was a venue they had never been to before. Terry and I wanted a venue away from the main town with our own private beach, open bar and somewhere we could party until 5am. Terry’s been to over 100 weddings and made it clear that he wanted the best food, music and minimal formalities.
